2025 NYCB Children/Teen Auditions - Coppélia @SPAC
CASTING CALL!
New York City Ballet is seeking 36 local children and teens for dancing roles in "Coppélia" by George Balanchine & Alexandra Danilova, after Petipa.
The full-length ballet will be performed during NYCB's 2025 summer residency at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
AUDITION DATE/TIME
Sunday, March 9th
Audition for ages 14-18 will commence at 10:00am (Check-in no earlier than 9:00am)
Audition for ages 9-13 will commence at 10:30am (Check-in no earlier than 9:30am)

SPAC School of the Arts
(located behind the National Museum of Dance)
99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES
- 24 Girls (9-13 years old) between 4 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 1 inch tall
*Applicants must be at least 9 years old by Sept 1, 2025 and have at least 2 years of ballet training. Understudies will also be cast.
DANCERS MUST BE REGISTERED BY THURSDAY, MARCH 6, IN ORDER TO AUDITION ON SUNDAY, MARCH 9.
DANCERS MUST AUDITION IN PERSON ON MARCH 9 TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A ROLE.
STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT THE SCHOOL OF AMERICAN BALLET (SAB) ARE NOT PERMITTED TO AUDITION

• Sun, June 29: 2pm-5pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Mon, June 30: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Tues, July 1: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Wed, July 2: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Thurs, July 3: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Fri, July 4: 11-1:30pm
• Sat, July 5: NO REHEARSALS
• Sun, July 6: 11am-2pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Mon, July 7: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm at SPAC School of the Arts
• Tues, July 8: TBD rehearsals in the SPAC Amphitheater
• Wed, July 9: TBD afternoon dress rehearsals on stage at SPAC
Please note:
-There WILL be scheduled rehearsals on July 4th.
-On most Mon-Fri rehearsal days at SPAC School of the Arts, there is a two-hour break in the rehearsal schedule. On these days, dancers must be picked up at noon and returned at 1:45pm for the start of afternoon rehearsals at 2pm.
-Due to other summer programs happening simultaneously, family members dropping off dancers cannot remain in the School of the Arts building during rehearsals on Mon-Fri.
Location for Rehearsals June 29-July 7:
-The SPAC School of the Arts, 99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Located directly behind the National Museum of Dance. Parking is available in the lot next to the museum building.
Location for Rehearsals on July 8 & 9:
-The SPAC Amphitheater, 108 Ave of the Pines, Saratoga Springs. Parking is available behind the Saratoga Automobile Museum.

  • ARRIVE NO EARLIER THAN YOUR CHECK-IN TIME
    Audition check-in on Sunday, March 9 will commence at 9:00am (for ages 14-18) and at 9:30am (for ages 9-13) at the SPAC School of the Arts studios located behind the National Museum of Dance, 99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. Please do not arrive before your check-in time.
